Traditional Tapas Picnic

Do you feel like enjoying tapas in a totally different way? Then do a Tapas Picnic. Of course only with your friends or family. Also not in a restaurant but in the beautiful parque María Luisa, the most beautiful, historic city park of Europe.

Have a nice culinary surprise with authentic tapas, for example before or after a nice walking tour or bike tour. Lovely in the cool grass, in the shade under the trees or in one of the many beauties in the park. You choose your own suitable place!

How does it work? You pick up your picnic basket at our delivery point in parque María Luisa. After this you look for a nice place in the park and enjoy the Andalusian delights. Are you satisfied then you bring the picnic basket back and can you continue to explore Seville further or maybe you want to have a short siesta in the park?

Tapas does not mean small or small snacks. You get four dishes per basket that you share with each other and those are sufficient for four people. If you wish, you can expand the basket with an extra dish, soda, beer or wine. Totally the way you want it!

SPANISH HAM TASTING

Spanish Ham Tasting

This special Spanish Ham Tasting is for true food lovers and for those who want to know where that special, special taste of the jamon ibérico comes from. In the rest of the world this ham is often called pata negra (black foot). Something that is forbidden in Andalusia because every Iberian pig has black legs but that means nothing about the different classes or qualities of the ham.

For this delicious Ham Tasting you visit one of the oldest and craftsman farm (bodega) near the city of Huelva (1 hour's drive from Seville). Here are the very best (and therefore most expensive) Iberian hams and sausages prepared.

You start with a guided tour (English spoken) through the grasslands (las dehesas) where the Iberian pigs roam freely. You will learn and see that the diet of these pigs consists of eating acorns. Then you visit the warehouses where the hams and sausages are matured by the natural wind (no machines). You can also see how the hams and sausages are artisanally prepared. The English-speaking guide explains which traditional steps a ham or sausage goes through. Finally, the ham tasting follows with delicious matching wines. You will of course receive tips and advice to look out for when buying or ordering Iberian ham yourself.

The total duration of this beautiful Spanish ham Tasting is 2.5 to 3 hours.

After that you will practice with the Flamenco specialist, in about 1.5 hours, a number of basic steps of this dance in which foot and arm technique is used.
